Spring Membership Drive

Join/Renew

Do you want more and better mountain bike trails in San Antonio? So do we. South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM) is your local all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit mountain bike and trail advocacy organization. We build new trails and improve existing ones. We build relationships with landowners and the City of San Antonio to increase trail access. We host mountain bike races and hold group rides to get more people on mountain bikes, including specific rides and clinics for women and kids. We represent the mountain bike community in countless forums to protect our trails and advocate for new ones.

By joining STORM in May and you’ll be entered to win one of several amazing IMBA-sponsored prize packages, including gear, trips and two complete Yeti mountain bikes! Everyone who joins or renews their membership with STORM will be entered in a drawing for a Flat Rock Ranch annual pass and anyone who joins or renews in May at the $100/year level will receive a Flat Rock Ranch day pass.

24th Annual STORM Hill Country MTB Challenge

The Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association’s (TMBRA) Race #5 of the Trek Texas presents the TMBRA XC MTB State Championship Series comes to our backyard as STORM hosts the Hill Country MTB Challenge at Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort, TX.  This is the largest mountain bike race in the San Antonio area with over 300 racers competing in the different age, gender, and experience-based classes.

This year, Juniors 10U, 12U, and 13-14 and Pro, Cat 1, Cat 2, and Cat 3 of all ages will all be racing on Sunday morning.

2023 STORM Miles of DisComfort MTB Marathon

Think you got the legs for this one? Endurance is the name of the game as participants compete to finish three 17-mile laps at Flat Rock Ranch for some sweet singletrack goodness. Bring your climbing legs, because there will be a lot of it! If that seems like too much, we have 2-lap and 1-lap categories as well. The STORM Miles of DisComfort MTB Marathon is the final race of the 2022/23 Hill Country Bicycle Works Texas Marathon Mountain Bike State Championship Series.
