STORM Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (TKMBD) and TX NICA Try-it-Out
South Texas Off-Road Mountain Bikers (STORM) hosts this free annual youth mountain biking event on the dirt trails at McAllister Park.
This is an excellent opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this trail riding introduction. Participants will meet at the McAllister Park practice fields parking lot at Pvalion 5 near the bike skills course and pump track (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Mjtvg8Pjg3zgLcvR8), and the event will last from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The Texas Interscholastic Mountain Bike League will join STORM in getting More Kids on Bikes! This event welcomes everyone—whether you’re new to mountain biking or an experienced rider looking to connect with a new team.
Parents and community members are encouraged to attend, meet our dedicated NICA students and coaches, and explore opportunities to get involved as coaches or supporters. It’s a day of fun, community, and discovering the joy of mountain biking. No experience? No problem. Everyone is welcome!
