Hill Country MTB Challenge – 2021

22nd Annual
STORM Hill Country MTB Challenge

April 10-11, 2021

The Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association’s (TMBRA) Race #3 of the 2021 Paul and Sue’s Gratitudes Tour Texas XC Mountain Bike State Championship Series comes to our backyard as STORM hosts the Hill Country MTB Challenge at Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort, TX.  This is the largest mountain bike race in the San Antonio area with over 300 racers competing in the different age, gender, and experience-based classes.

Juniors 10U and Juniors 12U will be racing on Saturday afternoon and Pro, Cat 1, Cat 2, and Cat 3 of all ages and Juniors 13-14 will be racing on Sunday morning.

Safety Precautions: With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, additional health and safety protocols have been implemented to mitigate health threats to both our TMBRA race community and host community of Kendal County. These safety protocols are to be adhered by racers, spectators and staff alike. Your attendance at our event is your acknowledgement that you will abide by these policies while at Flat Rock Ranch.

Properly wear a mask (over your mouth and nose) when not actively riding your bike or when you cannot maintain a 6′ distance from others outside your pod. Please be respectful of others.

We will have hand sanitizing stations near port-a-potties as well as at the registration tent. In an abundance of caution, we advise everyone to refrain from hand shaking and hugging. Please be a good health steward.  Don’t show up if you are feeling ill or have flu-like symptoms. Be very mindful of touching your face and always wash or sanitize your hands after using the bathroom, sneezing, coughing, blowing your nose, eating, or touching your face. Also, consider carrying your own hand-sanitizer along with your hydration and snacks in your pack.

Please be aware of the TMBRA COVID-19 mitigation strategy/plan that will be in effect race day: http://bit.ly/TMBRA-Covid-19.

Finally, we will continue to monitor and follow federal, state, and local guidelines and recommendations as well as following industry best practices and policies AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THIS COVID-19 MITIGATION POLICY IN RESPONSE TO ANY CHANGING CONDITIONS.
