Work at least 5 hours and ride free till the TMBRA cross-country race. Work at least 10 hours for a free Daily Season Pass. Work at least 15 hours for a free Season Family Pass. \nMore Info\nYou may assign a significant other to perform your race volunteer work; call for details. You must log your hours. We offer primitive camping with hot-water showers for those coming from far away. \nCheck the TMBRA and STORM websites for other dates\, directions\, and information. DESCRIPTION:RSVP at the STORM Meetup Group for more details and updates:\nSTORM Meetup Group – STORM Kids Ride \nSouth Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM) hosts this free monthly kid’s ride on the dirt trails at McAllister Park. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this introduction to trail riding. Participants will meet in the field at the large parking lot near the McAllister Park Pump Track (https://goo.gl/maps/dYmf2uTzXKHgf9p7A)\, and the event will last from 9:00-11:30am. \nWhat to bring:\nRequired:\n– Bicycle\n– Helmet\n– Closed-toe shoes \nRecommended:\n– Sunglasses\n– Gloves\n– Water\n– Sunscreen \nThis event is “weather permitting” to protect the trail system. Updates and cancellations will be posted on the STORM South Texas Off Road Mountain-Biker Facebook page and the STORM website events page (https://stormmtb.org/events-calendar). \nParents or accompanying adults must sign a liability waiver for themselves and their child before the ride and may accompany their child on the ride.

We will ride all dirt trails. ***\n(Rain or less optimal trail conditions will cancel the event.) \nMeet at OP Schnabel Park (main pavilion by play area) at about 6:00 pm\, with wheels down at 6:30 pm. All skill levels are welcome. This is a no-drop ride\, meaning leads and sweeps will keep the group together to ensure everyone makes it back. It is a 10+ mile ride typically lasting 2-3 hours. \nRequired: \n\nTrail-worthy mountain bike\nHelmet\nClosed-toe shoes\nWater bottle or hydration pack\nLights (if it will be dark before the ride ends)\n\nRecommended: \n\nSunglasses\nGloves\nSunscreen\nInsect repellant\n\nWe will ride the OP Schnabel Park and Leon Creek Greenway dirt trails. The route may vary depending on the ride leader. Please bring a trail-worthy bike\, helmet\, snack\, and plenty of water. If you have items to fix tire repairs or other bike mishaps\, please bring them. We will try to keep stops to a minimum\, depending on rider experience and knowledge of the trails. \nPlease indicate if you are willing to help as a sweep.
