DESCRIPTION:RSVP at the STORM Meetup Group for more details and updates:\nSTORM Meetup Group – STORM Kids Ride \nSouth Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM) hosts this free monthly kid’s ride on the dirt trails at McAllister Park. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this introduction to trail riding. Participants will meet in the field at the large parking lot near the McAllister Park Pump Track (https://goo.gl/maps/dYmf2uTzXKHgf9p7A)\, and the event will last from 9:00-11:30am. \nWhat to bring:\nRequired:\n– Bicycle\n– Helmet\n– Closed-toe shoes \nRecommended:\n– Sunglasses\n– Gloves\n– Water\n– Sunscreen \nThis event is “weather permitting” to protect the trail system. Updates and cancellations will be posted on the STORM South Texas Off Road Mountain-Biker Facebook page and the STORM website events page (https://stormmtb.org/events-calendar). \nParents or accompanying adults must sign a liability waiver for themselves and their child before the ride and may accompany their child on the ride.

DESCRIPTION:https://www.saspeakup.com/P5411 \nThe Parks and Recreation Board serves in an advisory capacity to the community on issues affecting the Parks and Recreation Department. The Board shall\, as the voice of the community\, advise the Parks and Recreation Department and City Council regarding community recreational facilities and services\, needs and desires\, and recreation programming. The Board shall promote public awareness of the public recreational facilities and services provided by the City and encourage community participation in those programs. \nThe Board is composed of 11 voting members each serving a two-year term (there is no limit to the number of terms that may be served) and two non-voting members. Each City Council district and the Mayor have an appointee within this Board. A quorum of six voting members is required to conduct business on the Board’s agenda. \nMeetings are held on the fourth Monday of every other month at 5:30 p.m. in the City Tower Concourse Conference Room A\, 100 W.
