DESCRIPTION:Details\n\n\nSTORM Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (TKMBD) \nRSVP and follow the STORM Meetup Group link for more details and updates:\nhttps://www.meetup.com/storm-mountain-biking/events/305387397/ \nSouth Texas Off-Road Mountain Bikers (STORM) hosts this free annual youth mountain biking event on the dirt trails at McAllister Park. \nThis is an excellent opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this trail riding introduction. Participants will meet at the McAllister Park practice fields parking lot\, located at Pvalion 5 near the bike skills course and pump track (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Mjtvg8Pjg3zgLcvR8)\, and the event will take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. \nParents and community members are encouraged to attend\, meet our dedicated NICA students and coaches\, and explore opportunities to get involved as coaches or supporters. It’s a day of fun\, community\, and discovering the joy of mountain biking. No experience? No problem. Everyone is welcome! \nWhat to Bring:\nRequired: \n\nBicycle\nHelmet\nClosed-toe shoes\nWater bottle or hydration pack\n\nRecommended: \n\nSunglasses\nGloves\nSunscreen\nInsect repellant\n\nThis event is “weather permitting” and dependent on trail conditions to protect the trail system. Updates and cancellations will be posted on this Meetup group\, the “STORM South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers” Facebook events page\, and the STORM website events page (https://stormmtb.org/events-calendar). \nParents or accompanying adults must sign a liability waiver (link at top) for themselves and their child before the ride. DESCRIPTION:https://www.saspeakup.com/V3413 \nThe Linear Creekway Parks Advisory Board (LCPAB) serves in an advisory capacity to staff and City Council regarding land acquisitions\, project design\, and construction for a hike and bike trail system along San Antonio creekways using sales tax initiative funding and proposed 2022 Bond funding. The board is also tasked with oversight of long-range management and construction activities for recreation purposes on creeks and tributaries within the City of San Antonio. \nThe LCPAB is composed of 11 members that each serve two-year terms. The Board has representatives from the City Council district and the Mayor. \nUnless otherwise posted\, meetings are typically held on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Granados Adult and Senior Center located at 500 Frieling Drive.
