DESCRIPTION:For more info on ride location and to RSVP\, please visit:\nSouth Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers – Rides & Events \nUpdates and Cancellations will be through the Meetup.com group\, so please RSVP. \n*** This is not a paved trail ride. We will ride all dirt trails. ***\n(Rain or less optimal trail conditions will cancel the event.) \nMeet at McAllister Park Turkey Roost Pavilion (first pavilion inside Jones Maltsberger entrance) at about 6:00pm\, with wheels down at 6:30pm. All skill levels are welcome. This is a no-drop ride\, meaning leads and sweeps will keep the group together to ensure everyone makes it back. It is a 10+ mile ride typically lasting 2-3 hours. \nRequired: \n\nTrail-worthy mountain bike\nHelmet\nClosed-toe shoes\nWater bottle or hydration pack\nLights (if it will be dark before the ride ends)\n\nRecommended: \n\nSunglasses\nGloves\nSunscreen\nInsect repellant\n\nWe will ride the McAllister Park dirt trails. The route may vary depending on the ride leader. Please bring a trail-worthy bike\, helmet\, snack\, and plenty of water. If you have items to fix tire repairs or other bike mishaps\, please bring them. We will try to keep stops to a minimum\, depending on rider experience and knowledge of the trails. \nPlease indicate if you are willing to help as a sweep. A sweep stays in the back and helps make sure we do not leave any rider behind. \nSee ya there!

DESCRIPTION:South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM) hosts this free monthly kid’s ride on the dirt trails at McAllister Park. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this introduction to trail riding. Participants will meet in the field at the large parking lot near the McAllister Park Pump Track (https://goo.gl/maps/dYmf2uTzXKHgf9p7A)\, and the event will last from 9:00-11:30am. \nWhat to bring:\nRequired:\n– Bicycle\n– Helmet\n– Closed-toe shoes \nRecommended:\n– Sunglasses\n– Gloves\n– Water\n– Sunscreen \nThis event is “weather permitting” to protect the trail system. Updates and cancellations will be posted on the STORM South Texas Off Road Mountain-Biker Facebook page and the STORM website events page (https://stormmtb.org/events-calendar). \nParents or accompanying adults must sign a liability waiver for themselves and their child before the ride and may accompany their child on the ride.

DESCRIPTION:https://www.saspeakup.com/V3413 \nThe Linear Creekway Parks Advisory Board (LCPAB) serves in an advisory capacity to staff and City Council regarding land acquisitions\, project design\, and construction for a hike and bike trail system along San Antonio creekways using sales tax initiative funding and proposed 2022 Bond funding. The board is also tasked with oversight of long-range management and construction activities for recreation purposes on creeks and tributaries within the City of San Antonio. \nThe LCPAB is composed of 11 members that each serve two-year terms. The Board has representatives from the City Council district and the Mayor. \nUnless otherwise posted\, meetings are typically held on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Granados Adult and Senior Center located at 500 Frieling Drive.
