This is a no-drop ride\, and the speed will be based on the group. The route will vary from week to week. Meet\, ride\, and socialize with other ladies in the mountain biking community. \nWe will have several groups riding at different paces and skill levels. \nPlease be on time. We will meet at 6:30pm to sign waivers and discuss the group ride. No later than 6:45pm we will depart to start our social group ride. \n**Please bring lights as the ride will end as it gets dark** \nRide leaders will provide instruction on any feature in the park or any skill you struggle with. This is a great and free opportunity to practice and learn new skills on the trail. DESCRIPTION:South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM) hosts this free monthly kid’s ride on the dirt trails at McAllister Park. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this introduction to trail riding. Participants will meet in the field at the large parking lot near the McAllister Park Pump Track (https://goo.gl/maps/dYmf2uTzXKHgf9p7A)\, and the event will last from 9:00-11:30am. \nWhat to bring:\nRequired:\n– Bicycle\n– Helmet\n– Closed-toe shoes \nRecommended:\n– Sunglasses\n– Gloves\n– Water\n– Sunscreen \nThis event is “weather permitting” to protect the trail system. Updates and cancellations will be posted on the STORM South Texas Off Road Mountain-Biker Facebook page and the STORM website events page (https://stormmtb.org/events-calendar). \nParents or accompanying adults must sign a liability waiver for themselves and their child before the ride and may accompany their child on the ride.

DESCRIPTION:South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM) hosts this free monthly kid’s ride on the dirt trails at McAllister Park. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this introduction to trail riding. Participants will meet in the field at the large parking lot near the McAllister Park Pump Track (https://goo.gl/maps/dYmf2uTzXKHgf9p7A)\, and the event will last from 9:00-11:30am. \nWhat to bring:\nRequired:\n– Bicycle\n– Helmet\n– Closed-toe shoes \nRecommended:\n– Sunglasses\n– Gloves\n– Water\n– Sunscreen \nThis event is “weather permitting” to protect the trail system. We plan to work for approximately 4 hours; we do have most of the required tools\, but you can bring your own. We plan to do trail maintenance where the little rocks have grown back during riding season. If enough volunteers show up\, we may build a berm or two. We are planning a few reroutes to improve trail flow. We’ll provide lunch afterward and ride the trail later. \nRemember if you work\, you ride free on the workday. Work at least 5 hours and ride free till the TMBRA cross country race. Work at least 10 hours for a free Daily Season Pass. Work at least 15 hours for a free Season Family Pass.
