DESCRIPTION:For more info on ride location and to RSVP\, please visit:\nSouth Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers – Rides & Events \nUpdates and Cancellations will be through the Meetup.com group\, so please RSVP. \n*** This is not a paved trail ride. We will ride all dirt trails. ***\n(Rain or less optimal trail conditions will cancel the event.) \nMeet at McAllister Park Turkey Roost Pavilion (first pavilion inside Jones Maltsberger entrance) at about 6:00pm\, with wheels down at 6:30pm. All skill levels are welcome. This is a no-drop ride\, meaning leads and sweeps will keep the group together to ensure everyone makes it back. It is a 10+ mile ride typically lasting 2-3 hours. \nRequired: \n\nTrail-worthy mountain bike\nHelmet\nClosed-toe shoes\nWater bottle or hydration pack\nLights (if it will be dark before the ride ends)\n\nRecommended: \n\nSunglasses\nGloves\nSunscreen\nInsect repellant\n\nWe will ride the McAllister Park dirt trails. The route may vary depending on the ride leader. Please bring a trail-worthy bike\, helmet\, snack\, and plenty of water. If you have items to fix tire repairs or other bike mishaps\, please bring them. We will try to keep stops to a minimum\, depending on rider experience and knowledge of the trails. \nPlease indicate if you are willing to help as a sweep. A sweep stays in the back and helps make sure we do not leave any rider behind. \nSee ya there!
