SUMMARY:Community Workshop #1 - Brackenridge Park Reconciled Plan
DESCRIPTION:https://www.saspeakup.com/FT0451 \nREGISTER on the link above! \nBrackenridge Park Reconciled Plan\nSince summer 2023\, the Brackenridge Park Stakeholder Advisory Committee has met to shape a new effort by the City of San Antonio to develop a Reconciled Plan and Project Inventory for Brackenridge Park.  \nWhat is the Reconciled Plan?  \nIn May 2023\, City Council approved funding from the Midtown TIRZ to support a new planning effort for Brackenridge Park. Specifically\, the effort will consider the following:  \n\nBrackenridge Park Masterplan (2017) \nBrackenridge Park Cultural Landscape Plan (2021) \nMidtown Regional Center Plan (2019) \n\nThe result will be a Reconciled Plan and Project Inventory for Brackenridge Park. This new tool will not replace the previous park plans & studies. Instead\, it will consolidate their goals and objectives and provide an inventory of projects that have been evaluated under new\, objective criteria and recommended for prioritization. Through public input\, the committee will agree on evaluation criteria to inform the project inventory. \nThe Stakeholder Advisory Committee has developed draft language which will be used to guide discussions surrounding the plan and inform project prioritization including:  \n\nGuiding Principles (Including Equity and Accessibility) \nEvaluation Criteria / Project Considerations\n\n  \nWe Want to Hear From You!  \nThe next important step in this community-driven process is public input. Beginning in January\, the consultant team and Office of Historic Preservation will launch a comprehensive public input campaign. The campaign which will include multiple Community Workshops and a month-long survey (see individual details below.) The public will also be asked to review and recommend additional guiding principles and evaluation criteria for consideration by the Stakeholder Advisory Committee.   \nHow to Participate  \nPlease join us for an upcoming Community Workshop:  \nMonday\, January 8\, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm (arrival / reception at 5:15 pm)  \n\nProject Introduction \nCollaborative Worksessions \nSurvey Launch\n\nTuesday\, January 30\, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm (times may be adjusted depending on participation on January 8)  \n\nSurvey Results \nRefinement of Evaluation Criteria \nAdditional Input \n\n\n\n\n*Both workshops will take place at the Tri-Point event center located at 3233 N St. Mary’s.*  \nOR\, help us by taking the survey below. \nCommunity Workshop #1 – Brackenridge Park Reconciled Plan \n Mon\, Jan 8 5:30 PM \n3233 North Saint Mary’s Street\, San Antonio\, TX \nJoin us for a community workshop to inform the Reconciled Plan and Project Inventory for Brackenridge Park. This will be an engaging and collaborative worksession about Brackenridge Park and how future projects should be evaluated and prioritized. Learn about the work of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee to develop new guiding principles and evaluation criteria. We will also launch a new\, online survey at this meeting that will be available through the month of January. Please plan to arrive between 5:15 pm and 5:30 pm so we can begin on time.
