DESCRIPTION:Details\n\n\nSTORM Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (TKMBD) and Texas NICA Try-It-Out Event \nRSVP and follow the STORM Meetup Group link for more details and updates:\nhttps://www.meetup.com/storm-mountain-biking/events/313540990/ \nSouth Texas Off-Road Mountain Bikers (STORM) hosts this free annual youth mountain biking event on the dirt trails at McAllister Park. \nThis is an excellent opportunity for parents and children to get out on the dirt trails and see how fun mountain biking can be. Kids will learn basic trail skills and trail etiquette during this trail riding introduction. Participants will meet at the McAllister Park practice fields parking lot\, located at Pvalion 5 near the bike skills course and pump track (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Mjtvg8Pjg3zgLcvR8)\, and the event will take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. \nMcAllister Park\, Pavilion 5 \nParents and community members are encouraged to attend\, meet our dedicated NICA students and coaches\, and explore opportunities to get involved as coaches or supporters. It’s a day of fun\, community\, and discovering the joy of mountain biking. No experience? No problem. Everyone is welcome! \nWhat to Bring:\nRequired: \n\nBicycle\nHelmet\nClosed-toe shoes\nWater bottle or hydration pack\n\nRecommended: \n\nSunglasses\nGloves\nSunscreen\nInsect repellant\n\nThis event is “weather permitting” and dependent on trail conditions to protect the trail system.
